This former warehouse in Het Eilandje, in Antwerp’s Old Harbour, was built in the late nineteenth century.
Over the past ten years, Antwerp’s Old Harbour, the area around Willemdok, has undergone substantial development. It is now regarded as the city’s “second centre” and an attractive residential neighbourhood. Today, Het Eilandje combines modern amenities with the maritime charm of its past.
In 2011, Doniger renovated the building to create high-quality office space. In 2017/2018, the top floor was subsequently converted into six spacious apartments with magnificent views over the Old Harbour.
